Getting to Hainan
Hainan Airlines has daily flights from many chinese cities to Sanya and Haikou. Flights from Europe and the US are available via Beijing, Shanghai or Hongkong. AirAsia and Tiger Airways offer cheap flights from Kula Lumpur and Singapore to Haikou.

Climate and weather
Hainan is located on the tropical northern border with year-round temperatures above 15 degrees Celsius. In the summer months it can be hot in the north up to 35 degrees, the south then it is a bit cooler. In the winter months, Sanya is significantly warmer than Haikou. The climate on the whole island aand around the year is said to be very pleasant and a little stressful. Hainan has become a prosperous residence for rich Chinese and retired people. The inhabitants of Hainan reach a higher age than in the rest of China because of the healthy climate.
Hainan is influenced by the southwest monsoon with dry, warm and sunny weather in the winter months, and more cloudy and rainy conditions from May to October. However, the rainfalls are limited to just a few hours a day, so the holiday season is throughout the year.
